About Twitchers' Den

Twitchers' Den is in Bessingby village, 2 miles from Bridlington town centre. Access is via a private arched entrance leading into the courtyard. Off-road parking for one car is included, with a free EV charging point. Note that very large vehicles may find the courtyard a tight fit - reverse parking is easier according to guests.

By Train

The nearest railway station is Bridlington, approximately 2 miles from the property and a short taxi ride away. Bridlington station is served by TransPennine Express and Northern Rail with connections from Hull and York.

Lovely location with great accommodation Sarah was the perfect host and made us feel right at home.
We had a lovely stay at Twitchers Den which was ideally positioned for what we wanted to do. Sarah was most helpful. The wildlife section of the garden was an area I wished I was able to spend more time. All in all we had alovely week helped by the fine weather.
A lovely cottage in a great location, and the host is amazing. The mews and gardens are in a quiet and peaceful village, but only minutes away from Bridlington. I knew electric car charging was available on site. What it doesn't say is that each property has its own designated parking space and charger. Also, charging is free. Any EV driver will know what a bonus this is.

Twitchers Den is a super cottage, very comfortable and well equipped. Sarah, the owner, is a lovely person and very approachable and on hand if needed. She gave us a great welcome and showed us the shared garden with a summer house. She also asked us what she could do to improve our stay but we couldnt think of anything, it is perfect. Had a fantastic stay at Twitcher's Den a cosy and comfortable cottage in a great location, with everything we needed and more. The outdoor space is beautiful and the owner, Sarah, is absolutely marvellous. We will definitely return and very happy to recommend.
This was a last minute booking, after our original booking elsewhere was cancelled. And what a stroke of luck that was. We had a wonderful time staying at Twitcher's Den. Sarah the owner was a fabulous host. From the initial phonecall, to meeting her upon our arrival, Sarah was friendly, helpful and informative. Nothing was too much bother. She even ensured we had complimentary milk and biscuits of our choice to welcome us. The cottage is in a lovely village location, just 2 miles from the coast. Twitcher's Den was the perfect size for our family of three. Would highly recommend this property for anyone wanting a comfortable and cosy base to explore the East Yorkshire coastline from.

The property was clean and well furnished. We went over the New Year and the property was decorated for Christmas, it was lovely. Sarah was very welcoming and helpful. A real home from home.
Very helpful and amenable owner. Well stocked for self catering. Although mirror in bedroom, some people would probably benefit from a mirror in the bathroom. Would very happily stay again if available, when next up in East Yorkshire.

It was a wonderful stay at Twitchers den the garden was lovely with big trees and birds, the surrounding gives you a perfect countryside vibes and also close to the beach, town center and other tourist destinations, Sarah the owner is very accommodating and so kind to give us one more night for free.
Just home from a lovely week at Twitcher's den, great little cottage everything you need, warm and cosy, very peaceful, brilliant garden to see the birds and rabbit. Sarah the owner is lovely had a very warm welcome when we arrived also very knowledgeable about the area, also a big bonus being able to pick soft fruit outside your door the raspberries were beautiful, we would go back again

Sarah the owner was real nice but unfortunately I echo the feelings of previous people who have stayed here in that it wasnt clean enough for us,very dusty with lots of spiders, when you have to get a vacuum out half way through your stay to clean behind bedside drawers its not on which is a pity because its in a beautiful setting within walking distance to beach & really nice gardens, please make sure its cleaned thoroughly before its let again or people wont come back which is a shame.

Sarah is the warmest, friendliest and most helpful owner. I found the cottage to be quiet, comfortable and peaceful, and a good base for exploring that part of Yorkshire, within easy reach of Hull, Beverley, Filey and Scarborough.
We stayed at Twitcher's Den for a few days to visit Bempton Cliffs as it is so conveniently located. Sarah, the owner, was very welcoming & helpful with directions local information & tasty cookies!. The cottage was warm & very comfortable, & the bird hide in the garden was a real bonus. I would definitely stay there again & happily recommend Twitcher's Den as the perfect base to explore the local area
Our stay at twitchers den was like home from home. Sara was so helpful and friendly and was always there to help.
Summer holidays stay with a 5 year old and 18 month old child , the accommodation was plenty big enough and gave us all we needed , the garden is a very handy asset to have while being on holiday , the kids enjoyed very much , fruit available to pick from the garden too . Location is very good , nice and quiet while just a 10 minute drive to the beach , really recommend Filey , flamborough beaches as a day out . We really enjoy our stay at Twitchers' Den. The cottage had everything that you would need for a holiday. Sarah was a lovely host who was very helpful. The use of the beautiful garden was an added bonus, together with the organic fruit and vegetables that were available for visitors to pick. The raspberries were delicious. Friendly helpful owner, comfy cottage well placed for visits to coast and bridlington
We really enjoyed our first stay at Twitcher's Den. It was in the ideal location for us with easy access to Flamborough Head, Bempton Cliffs and of course Bridlington. Sarah made us most welcome and encouraged us to use all the facilities which include a wonderful garden, summer housebird hide and a room full of books, maps, DVD's, jigsaws etc and a washing machine. We would definitely recommend it to our friends and return ourselves. Thank you Sarah.

Stayed for 4 nights, The Cottage was ideal for us to go sightseeing and for wildlife photography. It was very cosy and immaculate, the owner was very helpful and thoughtful, would definitely recommend, and would definitely visit again
Excellent property in all respects. We really enjoyed our stay. The owner certainly went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed. Really good location. In the countryside with peace and quietness but only a couple of miles from Bridlington Centre. Sarah has constructed a lovely bird feeder station in the spacious garden which is a big plus. Highly recommended.
We stayed in Twitchers Den, 100 loved this place. This cottage was perfect. it more than met all of our needs for our time in Bridlington. We were there in January and made full use of the log burner. Sarah was an amazing person. We were visiting from Australia and embraced the Yorkshire winter. I will definitely not hesitate to re book to stay there again and have no problem recommending this place to other people. Thank you Sarah x

This was our second visit, we were made very welcome, the cottage was clean and we did not want for anything, near to beaches , supermarkets , and has a large garden for children to play in we will certainly visit again.
Really peaceful surroundings, lovely cottage and a warm and friendly welcome by the owner Sarah. The garden is lovely, but was mainly commandeered by the large party staying in the opposite cottage. However, as invited to do so by Sarah, I did make forays to get some rhubarb and some chives for my potato salad. Twitcher's Den is a good size with a nice kitchen and extremely comfortable bed. I would definitely book here again, if wanting to stay in the area.
Without a doubt, the biggest attractions for Twitchers Den is the location & garden beautifully secluded. We are a family of 3 that have been travelling to the East Coast for many many years, often 23 times per year, so we have a good understanding of the area and what good feels like when it comes to renting properties. Sadly, despite the inviting location and the owners extensive warm welcome, we are sorry to say that we wont be returning . Unfortunately, we found the bedroom to be very unclean, with cob webs lining each corner, the curtain rail & lamp shades some of which we had no choice but to clean before use. Also,the furniture throughout the property is tired & in need of upgrading. Together these important issues didnt make for a relaxed feel to this property, as such, we wont be recommending it to family & friends.
We had a great holiday, in an ideal cottage for my wife and myself. The weather was good and we found the cottage to be in an ideal location for all the area has to offer. We would certainly like to return in the future and may well consider the large house, so we could bring the whole family. Would I recommend this cottage, then yes I would whole heartedly .The only minor downside was the lack of decent wifi , but we knew about this before booking and understand the problem, so for us this wasnt a major problem.

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely cottage. It was clean comfortable and really quiet. We enjoyed the peace of the garden which has lots of bird life and a new birdhide. The cottage is well equipped and Sarah the owner is so lovely and very attentive to her guests needs. You just need to ask if you need anything and she moves heaven and earth to help if she can. We will be back.
