The apartment spans two floors. The first floor has a super-king bedroom with en-suite bath and dressing room plus a kitchen-diner and sitting room with electric fire. Very disappointed, after years of staying in these apartments which were always very clean,they've gone downhill. Couldn't even use the toaster it was so dirty. Apartment had been switched because of a double booking, 2 of us are disabled and had to tackle stairs which we weren't expecting. The only plus is that the beds are clean and comfy, the rest is filthy.
We have stayed at gansey girl for many years except last year. The size and location are brilliant. The view over the beach and sea is so relaxing. What let's it down is the condition of the property. Each year we have fed this back and on returning nothing has been maintainedimproved but worsened. I tried to make contact with the owner with the number provided, but unfortunately no engagement back. Wifi code and owners number was left on a BT piece of paper folded up.

Gansey girl is lovely. Really spacious Only problem was washing machine and dish washer not working. Deep sink with no plug or bowl to wash up with. Lovely views.
Oh dear. Dirty. Dirty. Spacious and modern but standards very low. Super king size bed but duvet far too small. Shower grimy and black. Toilet nearly clean. Dishwasher insides and grease filter caked with grease. Not a drop of washing up liquid, rinse aid or dishwasher tablets to be found. Dining chairs rickety and impossible to seat six around table as space far too narrow. Oven and microwave filthy, food remains on cutlery, food drips and spills evident on cutlery drawer. Bathroom floor tiles cracked and uneven. Bathroom handbasin cracked. Water stains or black mould on some walls. Kitchen tap dripped even though a previous reviewer had reported this several months ago. No guest information pack. We spent our first evening going out to buy cleaning materials and then cleaning things which should have been cleaned before we arrived. One good thing to come from this, is that we found a brilliant local crafts shop called the Bridlington Arts and Craft Collective next to the convenience store, run by a lovely lady, where we bought several unique items. We might come back to Bridlington one day, but would not stay at The Gansey Girl again.
We have stayed at Gansey Girl every year for 5 years and have noticed a decline in the apartment. Mould in places, the shower rail was broken and it fell off on to my sons foot cutting it.The tap in the kitchen had a constant drip and was told it needed a washer but nothing was done. Radiator in the landing toilet wasnt working curtains in the main bedroom weren't secured so came off when opened, rocking chair need new foam , cracked sink basin in ensuite plus cracked floor tiles. It needs a deep clean. Its a shame because we have loved coming, the view is amazing and its very quiet. Staff at the Expanse are lovely . Hopefully the snags will be done and we would book it again.

This is the 4th time we have stayed at Gansey Girl and love it. The view is amazing, seeing the dolphins was the highlight of our trip. Had a enjoyable stay as always. The apartment is clean thank you to both Kaths. Think the apartment is due to a upgrade in some places but we would definitely book it again.
This is our second time at Gansey Girl, had another great time and this time we had our family with us who also enjoyed it. The view is fantastic and was a hit with all of us. We will be booking again.
Lovely property . The view is amazing. Well equipped kitchen . Main bedroom is huge other two bedrooms are lovely but the radiators in them weren't working, also the radiator in the toilet. Mentioned it to the receptionist at the Expanse when we left as we had lovely weather and didnt need the heating but as it was turning colder the next guests would. We enjoyed it so much we have booked it for Christmas and New Year.
Loved the space of the apartment and location . We had young children sleeping upstairs and with only blinds on one of the windows and light curtains on the other it made sleeping difficult . The crockery was limited and we would certainly have appreciated more .
This apartment was everything we wanted, spacious and modern, nice touches with gift left for us and all basics for day to day. The best thing for us was the location, the view was perfect and the area was peaceful and quiet at night. We will be booking again, thank you for a wonderful short break, will be trying to stay longer next time. I personally am missing waking up to the sea in front of me!

Great location, very clean, comfortable beds. Although we only had a small table top fridge as the main one was broken and wasnt replaced until the end of our holiday. Very steep stairs so not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties, but on the whole we had a very enjoyable week.

Absolutely gorgeous location. We walked to the harbour and over to south beach it didnt seem to take to long either about 20 minutes. Plenty of wonderful places to eat too . Will definitely be back x

This is our first stay at The Gansey Girl and we will definitely return. The apartment was exceptional clean, so thank you to whoever was responsible for that. Large and spacious apartment with a fantastic view of the sea. Very quiet at night. Just to note that this apartment is on the second and third floor of the house so there is a flight of stairs as you enter the front door. Perhaps not the best choice for those with mobility issues. The photos of the inside of this property do not do it justice. ps. The wallpaper in the lounge is not a shocking pink as it looks in the photos! I would recommend this apartment.

Some more manuals, eg washing machine. Also instructions on which bins to use for what because recycling is different in each area. Where do empty bottles go? Is it our responsibility to put the bins out for collection? If so, a calendar would b3 useful.
Apartment, bed linen and towels were spotless, the beds were fantastic and seats were very comfortable. Watching the sunrises over the sea from the front windows was amazing. Never heard any noise from downstairs apartment. The staff in the hotel reception were very friendly and helpful, booking in and checking out was easy. Only downside was car parking, not on site as we were told when I phoned, but we were given the hotel managers space across the road which we could see.
Absolutely wonderful apartment . The view from the holiday home as our young grandchildren referred to it as, was amazing , brilliant position with the pub nearby. Tesco express end of road , had to ask for directions as not clear in the book at the apartment. Fantastic stay.
The Gansey Girl is a hugely spacious 3 bedroomed property in an ideal location on the North Beach. The only issue is a lack of parking, but even though it was peak season we still managed to get parked on the street nearby. Wed happily stay here again.
Great location and nice house with all expected facilities. Slight issue in that the dishwasher wasnt working for the duration of our stay wed been notified of that before arrival so not a surprise. Didnt detract from our stay. Instruction provided related mostly to the adjoining hotel and so werent of much help. Could have done with instructions on what to do with waste. Assuming that the occupants of the adjoins property had same issue as external waste bins were full on arrival and over flowing on departure.

Just returned from a week here & had the best time . Perfect location for our family beach on door step n short walk into brid or sewerby. Apartment was perfect . Only issue was the parking as only one place on drive so someone from down stairs got this but free on street parking outside , so hit n miss certain times if get parked outside but later evening we able move car n get parked but I didnt see this as massive issue . Looked at booking fir later in year

Let's get the bad out of the way first. Checkin was supposed to be 300. We arrived at 315 and the receptionist at The Expanse told us the apartment hadn't been cleaned yet and said we could wait in the bar no apology, no drinks on the house ! Eventually got in at 445 ! Must say though that the apartment made up for our initial disappointment it is amazing ! The description does not do it justice. Large airy rooms, comfortable beds, modern kitchen, everything was fantastic and most special of all is the view could sit there for hours looking out to the sea which is literally one minute away We all said we would love to return.
