By Car

To reach Postman's Cottage by car, follow the A165 into central Bridlington and head towards the Old Town area. The road outside is narrow, so larger vehicles should take care. On-street parking is available directly outside when spaces are free and a long-stay car park on Moorfield Road is around 100 yards away.

By Train

Bridlington railway station is approximately a five-minute walk from the cottage - one of the most convenient aspects of the location. Guests regularly arrive by train and walk straight to the property without needing a taxi.

What can I say, another lovely break in Bridlington but our first stay in Postman's cottage and it was everything wed hoped it would be and more. Super clean and spacious and well equipped throughout, very comfortable, and although they allow dogs you would never have known it! The downstairs toilet was excellent too, no need to go up and down stairs all day. The garden was lovely to sit in and the sunroom provided that warm extra living space to sit and read my book in peace. The beds were very comfortable with plenty of extra good quality bedding if needed. We managed to park on the road outside with no problems at all and theres a car park a minute away too. Only a few minutes flat walk into Bridlington made this the perfect location. Last but not least Ruth the owner was so lovely and helpful cant thank her enough. Would not hesitate to recommend this home from home to anyone. As people who have visited Brid at least 12 times over the years, this is definitely the best!

We booked Postmans Cottage as a lastminute holiday for our family of three and our fur baby, and it was just perfect for us. The cottage was clean, comfortable and had everything you could possibly need for a holiday home, along with those lovely extra touches that made our stay even more special. The location is also very convenient, with just a short stroll to the beach, restaurants and shops. We would absolutely love to come back again. We had a wonderful stay! The house is lovely, spotless, and very well equipped with everything you could need. Finding a parking space right outside the house was easy. Ruth is an incredibly warm, thoughtful, and welcoming host who made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Our dog loved the garden, and we really appreciated all the thoughtful touches and amenities provided for fourlegged guests. We felt completely comfortable throughout our stay and would happily come back. Highly recommended!

The cottage was amazing. Plenty of room for the three of us. Everything you need was there inc a little dishwasher Having a shower room was a bonus although never use it except for the loo Plenty of dishes,glasses and pots and pans Just a 1015 minute walk into the middle of town. Space outside for car. Very narrow road but we had no damage at all. If worried literally 10 secs away is a large car park or there is the station car park which is only about 3.50 a day Plenty near where you are is a wonderful fish and chip shop and the one stops are mostly mini tescos. Althythe big Tescos is literally a five minute walk The owner was amazing she replied very quickly when my sister contacted her and nothing seemed a problem They will book again It was perfect cottage for a week stay but could have stay for a lot longer
Extremely well maintained property . Tastefully decorated and styled. Everything thought of, even down to enough loo rolls to see you through the week! Very handy location for the town centre,and harbour,we walked everywhere and even not too far from the Old Town and the beautiful Bridlington Priory church. We had a great stay.
We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage! The communication with Ruth was excellent before we arrived. The cottage and garden was immaculate, and very welcoming! The property is close to local amenities, the old town, and the sea. We discovered The Latte Lounge for lunch, superb food at a very reasonable price! Thank you Ruth from all of us!
We had a great weekend at Postmans Cottage, it was a real home from home and Ruth had thought about everything to make us feel welcome including a bottle of wine, milk in the fridge and even treats for our dog! The accommodation was immaculately clean and presented to a very high standard and on the doorstep for Bridlington old town and the railway station. I would highly recommend Ruths lovely cottage and we will definitely return if and when we revisit the East Riding of Yorkshire.
We had a wonderful long weekend staying at Postman's Cottage what a lovely place! Very clean and great communication from Ruth who went out of her way to send us relevant info about the local area. The cottage has everything you might need for your stay and the welcome pack was a lovely surprise! The only tiny! niggle was the comfort of the sofas they are very squidgy and probably could do with replacing soon but that could just be because we have cronky hips!. Other than that the stay was perfect!
Postman's Cottage is a really pretty, beautifully cared for cottage in the centre of Bridlington. A short walk from shops, the town centre and the seafront. Ruth the owner was really helpful and happy to answer any questions before and during our stay.

The owner definitely treats the guests as top priority. The communication before arrival was excellent and the array of welcoming treats was outstanding. It is a lovely house with all amenities available. The cottage garden style private haven at the rear is the ideal spot to sit with a cup of tea or glass of wine at the end of the day.

Postmans cottage was very clean, comfortable , well equipped & ideally situated for shopping & walking into town. Lots of thoughtful items including history of previous owner. Lovely welcome basket included & treats for dogs. Lovely courtyard garden that honestly has more plants & details in it than ours ! My fav thing was the chais lounge which I claimed to sit in the evenings to read while my husband sat just outside, perfect. 5 stars no hesitation
Staying in this excellent cottage helped ensure we had a great holiday. Postmasters Cottage was tastefully furnished with everything provided to make our stay comfortable and cosy. It was spotlessly clean and the thoughtful welcome pack even included treats for our cat. If you are looking to holiday in the Bridlington area, the this is the place to book. Everything about the cottage was lovely. It was very comfortable with lots of little added extras. It was a great location close to everything.
We had a lovely stay which will definitely not be our last. The cottage is cosy and peaceful with a modern and relaxing atmosphere. The cottage is situated very close to all the delights of Bridlington but was still tucked away from all of the hustle and bustle. The parking is limited but we had fair warning of that and we always managed to tuck in somewhere. However next year we will make use of the carpark which is conveniently close. A delightful holiday and we are already booked to return.

An absolutely lovely property. Comfy beds. Nice sofas. Very well equipped kitchen. Smart TV. Good WiFi. Completely safe and enclosed rear garden. I would thoroughly recommend and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. We have stayed in over 50 Sykes holiday cottages over the past few years and this would be in our top five. As the accurate listing states the stairs are steep and anyone with restricted mobility would struggle Parking wasn't an issue for us with a medium sized car but a larger van type vehicle might struggle but there is a safe car park a few yards away. Close to all facilities. 1015 minutes to the sea front. Considering its central location it was really quiet. A really nice stay. Excellent. 5 stars.
We have stayed in many holiday properties in the last 4 years with our dog and we found this cottage just lovely. It's description and location were exactly as listed. The interiors were better than the photographs demonstrated usually the other way around. The furnishings and accessories were ample, comfortable and made the cottage very cosy. On arrival we were greeted with wine, snacks, tea, coffee, biscuits and milk and more. These touches just made the first night and next morning perfect for us after a long drive. The owner was happy to communicate during our stay and very generously gave us extra time on leaving day. The cottage was very close to lovely shops and the beach. Local information was thorough we took advice on dining, and days out. And finally we felt our dog was welcome as treats, bowls and other dog accessories were made available to us. Overall we had a great experience and would use again and recommend. Thank you.

What a lovely cottage! Haven't got 1 fault house was a great size, comfy beds and enclosed garden for the dogs. Weve stayed in a couple of places in Bridlington but we've now found the one we will keep coming back to. Great communication from the owner!
This cottage was very comfortable and clean on our arrival and we needed for nothing. It was close to the centre, the seafront and all the facilities Bridlington has to offer. I would recommend this holiday home to anyone looking to stay in the area. The owner even messaged us during our stay to tell us to look out of the window and see the northern lights which was spectacular. We even got an appearance from the postman during our stay delivering a couple of letters
The property is in a good position for all of the resorts amenities including the railway station. It is a home from home with an enclosed garden for our four legged friends to enjoy. We had a lovely stay and was made to feel very welcome by Ruth and would thoroughly recommend it to any one and have already mentioned it to friends.
A beautiful house, very tastefully decorated and had everything you would need for a comfortable stay. It was great having two bathrooms upstairs and downstairs. Although the kitchen was a galley style it was so easy to reach everything and well equipped. The hamper, wine and flowers were a lovely touch. I loved the dog friendly garden and all the trees, shrubs etc. we could easily walk to the beach and harbour and Ruth told us about all the various places to visit. She was great, nothing too much trouble and always on hand for any questions.

We use Sykes all the time and this is probably the best property we have stayed in. It is beautiful. The garden is amazing. The owner had put a lot of effort into making our stay as comfortable as possible, with fresh flowers, a welcome pack and so much more. Property is central to everything. A superstore is close by. The northsouth bays, and old town are in walking distance.
The cottage is very well maintained, clean, fresh and welcoming. The owner puts in a lot of effort to make her guests feel at home. The only negatives for us were the very limited onstreet parking although there is a long stay car park about 100 yards away and the steepness of the stairs. Neither of which can be helped. So overall a thoroughly enjoyable stay in one of the best equipped cottages we have tried.

Postmans cottage is fabulous, with a cosy feel but spacious and beautifully decorated with everything you need and more. Theres obviously lots of thought and care gone into making it a holiday home to suit everyone. The seating in the conservatory is lovely and a nice spot for a morning cup of tea while watching the birds in the garden. The garden is a beautiful sun trap with seating in different areas to follow the sun throughout the day. The washing facilities and downstairs shower room is great if you have those in your party who are not as mobile to get up and down the stairs to get to the bathroom often. The beds are so comfy we all slept really well while there. It is in an excellent location, halfway between the harbour and the old town, an easy 10 minute stroll either way, with plenty of amenities such as shops, cafes and nice local pubs just around the corner. Ruth, the owner, was lovely to speak to, so thoughtful and helpful, letting us know when the cottage was ready as well as giving lots of helpful advice regarding access, parking and events and things to see in the area during our stay. Postmans Cottage will be our first choice when looking to stay in Bridlington again as it is wonderful and suits our needs perfectly.

Postman's Cottage was perfect for us,Ruth has made this accommodation into a delightful haven to relax in,the attention to detail was great and allowed us to just unpack and relax. We particularly loved the garden and all the plants and fresh flowers in the cottage and the welcome pack was much appreciated. We visited Filey, Humanby Gap, Barnstorm and Bridlington but found that Bridlington beach excludes dogs on the beach from May 1st .
