Gannet, Flamborough

Beautiful cottage with everything provided for, bed very comfortable, shower lovely, all extremely clean. A peaceful place, lots of walks in the countryside. Beach not far away by car.

Lovely walks from the cottage, a very nice welcome pack for the dog on arrival. The cottage needs some TLC and some of the furniture and flooring needs replacing, especially the sofas. The heating system didnt work so on the evenings when it was cooler we had to use the fan heaters which were already in the cottage. Having the fridge and freezer in the dininglounge area wasnt ideal.

It was an excellent cottage thank you.

Gannet was a really lovely place to stay. Its in a great location with dog walks on the doorstep. We really appreciated all the doggy extras, throws, towels, bowls, treats etc. We have already recommended it to a couple of friends and will be back to stay again soon hopefully.

Beautiful place, close to pubs and shops. Close for driving to other places.

Couldnt open the velux windows on the roof, it was very hot so we had to open both doors so it would cool down. Was awful at night time with the heat. Luckily This time we didnt take our dogs, but we have 2 big dogs, and feel one of the other cottages would have been better as they have their own enclosed gardens. Otherwise they would have escaped.

We came Oct. 25 and return in May 26 that should tell you all you need to know.

Great cottage,lovely area,any downs,small kitchen but with all the gear. Small fridge just enough room,shower cubicle if you're bigger than average you may struggle.Would we book again ,you bet we would.For all the small niggles this a great cottage

Comfortable stay in Gannet cottage. Kitchen well equipped, fridge was a bit small for everyday provisions. Comfy bed and sofa. This was our second stay at Grange cottages and already booked Puffin cottage for Sept.

The owner had the brilliant idea of send out a PDF Map of the Entrances to the Farm and Cottages! Gannet was very clean and comfortable, well placed for the places we wanted to visit and three Pubs within walking distance! Very quiet and peaceful area with plenty of Parking Space with Fields to the Rear for walking or Dog! Best shower we have encountered in a Rental Cottage over many years! Only downsides being the Settee's are too low for us Oldies and the size of the Fridge was too small for Fresh Provisions!

Excellent property well maintained and a great location. Lounge furniture a bit low for us oldies. Would have been good to have had some information about walks for the the dog, as excellent once we found the public footpath at the side of the farm house, and info in the local area eg places to visiteat and to enjoy the wildlife.

Beautiful place to stay. Only gripe, and this might just be ages related, the sofas were a bit too low for getting up off. The rest was dry well presented. Loads of living space Comfy bed, small but well equipped kitchen. Would recommend and will probably stay there again when we are next looking for a holiday in that area.

Loved the property and area . ..we have previously stayed in Razorbill so knew the rea. However the sofa was very low and the seat cushions were flat which made it difficult to stand up Apart from that lovely property.

The cottage was perfect for us and our puppy for his first holiday. Well equipped and spotlessly clean with everything we needed. The location is brilliant for visiting the local attractions and beautiful beaches. Will definitely be back xx

The cottage was attractive and in the quiet rural seaside village of Flamborough which is well placed for the Yorkshire Coast and particularly for bird watching and enjoying Bridlington and Filey. It was very warm and cosy, it accepted 3 dogs and provided bowls, covers and bedding, and treats! However there were a few glitches. The key code we were given in all communications before the day we arrived was wrong and we could not get in until we'd negotiated contact with the managers. An email correcting the number had been sent that afternoon, but arrived just before we did, having driven for 3 hours, so we didn't see it until later. There was no tea towel or oven glove but we found one in the laundry room. There was nowhere to hang towels or clothes in the shower room this could be remedied with a couple of cheap 'over the door' hooks and a radiator rack. There was no enclosed garden we knew this but the patio area was actually the gravel drive outside all the cottages where cars were coming and going and on the morning we left, where the biomass delivery lorry was parked from 8am until 10am the driver apologized for the noise and blocking access but it was difficult to load the car and very noisy for the other people who weren't leaving with that timing. We only found the actual open garden where dogs can be walked the second day it is tucked away behind hedges a sign or two indicating where it is would help. There was no visitor book these are helpful for things like knowing to switch the router off and on again when the internet fails if other people experience this, and getting to the garden area, as well as other handy bits of information about the area.

We had a wonderful stay at the Gannet and would definitely return. The location is perfect for visiting the Flamborough area. The Gannet itself is lovely, cosey and has everything you need. The dog basket blankets, towels, bowls and doggy biscuits is a lovely touch along with human welcome basket tea, coffee,milk sachets and biscuits

Only issue was wifi a bit erratic.

Had a lovely stay but do agree with previous comments that the lounge furniture is very low in height. Lovely to have our little dog thought of with the welcome pack. Had a tranquil stay until the last night when someone parked outside our unit who must have been staying in the farm house. Lovely to see some flowers in a planter outside the cottage. Would be great to have a visitors book in the cottage to get tips and hints of where to visiteat.

This is our third time at these cottages. Great location to use as a base. Fantastic wildlife in the area and wonderful walks. The property has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. We will definitely be back.

My son and I stayed here for two nights and had a lovely break. On arrival they was a basket with blankets and treats for our dogs which was a lovely touch. The handbook was really helpful and gave us lots of places to explore. The only thing we'd change was the toilet seat was a little loose. We'd definitely come here again, lovely location and beautiful cottage.

Gannet is spotlessly clean with all you need in the kitchen. Two very small issues which we found, The loungediner is very spacious, if it was 25 less it would still have been spacious enough and given more room in the bedroom which would have given room for a wardrobe because hanging and drawer space, for us, is very limited. The other thing, again for us being 80 plus years, the settee is very low making it a struggle to get out of. Having that said, we enjoyed our stay and can recommend it.

We had a very comfortable stay & warm considering the weather wasnt so good, everything we needed was in the cottage except maybe some hooks for towelsclothes in the bathroom. Great location for where we wanted to be, very dog friendly pubs just a short walk away.Will certainly consider going there again.

Very tranquil and quiet, excellent cottage, beautiful surroundings. Could not have asked for anymore, can't wait to return to this beautiful place. Easy access to all surrounding areas. 5 plus.

I spoke with the property owner to say only 2 mugs, no vegetable fruit knife or oven cloth and only one tea towel for the week. She replied that is standard. Shower tray overflows as drain blocked. Suggested toiletries trolley in shower room as no shelf. Suggested that as another guest has said hooks on back of shower room door and bedroom door please. Note no wardrobe and 4 small drawers in total for clothing and toiletries. Bed and bedding good, heating good, good kitchen equipment apart from basics.clean except for shower. Note no patio but picnic table in shared parking area.

We had a lovely 4 days. Cottage was beautifully represented. Very central to everything. Local and beaches . A couple of hooks on the back of the bathroom door to hang wet towel when you have had a shower . A window blade to clean water off tiles and glass after shower . Maybe a pack of cards and a few games. I forgot ours

An excellent cottage and spacious, with a good kitchen and shower room. Quite and only 10 minutes from shop a nd pub.

Great location within walking distance of Flamborough Village. Cottage facilities good,ample on site parking with everything you need for a breakaway. Cosy once we got hang of central heating controls with 2 comfy sofas to chill out on . Mini fridgefreezer under counter in kitchen . No dishwasher but didnt bother us but maybe to others. Unfortunately smoke alarm in kitchen very sensitive as we couldn't get cooker extractor fan to work when cooking on hob ! Large wall TV where we could log onto our Netflix Account and wifi available.
