About Cupid's Cottage

Sewerby Hall is 1.5 miles away. Bempton Cliffs RSPB reserve is 6 miles. Flamborough Head is 3 miles. Filey is 10 miles.

To reach Cupid's Cottage by car, head towards Bessingby on the outskirts of Bridlington in East Yorkshire. The property is accessed via a private arched entrance into the courtyard at Bessingby Mews, where you'll find your own allocated off-road parking space directly outside the cottage.

Cupid's Cottage is designed for couples and sleeps just 2. It is a compact ground-floor property with limited space. The shared garden has a children's summerhouse (adults not permitted inside) and there is access to beaches and Sewerby Hall nearby. It is not ideally suited to families with young children.

Another lovely stay at Cupids cottage, Sarah is such a lovely host & will go above & beyond to make your stay as comfortable as possible, lovely walks to Bridlington sea front, south shore, you can get the bus if you want yo or the little train that takes you to Sewerby Park.

We really loved the property, however we felt that the carpets could have been swept better we swept them and they came up really well, also corners of the rooms appeared to have been missed. The cottage otherwise, had everything else we needed. We enjoyed the garden and sitting and relaxing in there.

A wonderful cottage with everything you need comfy bed and a lovely shower. The only thing I would say is the sofa is not very comfortable to sit on Sarah was a great host nothing was too much trouble and it was lovely to have milk and biscuits when we got there. A fantastic week
Cupid's cottage is a lovely place for a short stay. It was very peaceful and calming. I would have preferred a comfier settee but that's just my personal opinion. The owner, Sarah, was very welcoming and we were grateful for the milk and biscuits she provided so that we could make a cup of tea after driving there. Overall, we enjoyed the stay despite the bad weather.

This cottage is a little gem in a quiet rural corner of East Yorkshire. Convenient for exploring coast and Dales, it provides all the comforts of home after a busy day exploring. We brought our dog, who also enjoyed her stay here she particularly enjoyed exploring the enclosed organic garden with its array of delicious smells. Every taste is catered for here, whether guests just want to relax in the courtyard or do a bit of birdwatching from the onsite hide. The whole experience was completed by a very friendly and thoughtful host. We shall definetly be returning for another visit!
This is the second time that we have stayed in Bessingby and we are intending to have a return visit asap. Hosting from Sarah is very helpful and friendly. The Bridlington passport system that she provides and advised us to use saved us money over the weekend. The cottage has everything that you need and the dogs also had a great break with us. Really managed to chill over the few days we were there. A hidden gem not far from the sea.
This was our 2nd visit to Cupids Cottage, both being a few days before Christmas. It did not disappoint. As ever the owner Sarah was lovely and friendly and had decorated the cottage for Christmas, which was appreciated. It was good to have the new heating system in place which kept us cosy and warm. Even though the weather was not brilliant we still got out each day but did manage to get plenty of rest in the cottage and watch a few films. Hope to visit again at some point in the future.

Cupids cottage was beautiful in every way. The location was perfectlots of flat walking. A garden for the dog. Its an excellent base for all the east coast has to offer. Sarah the host was lovelly, informative and very proud of her cottagesnothing was too much trouble. The guests in the neighbouring cottages were lovelly toomade for a nice little community for the week chilling in the evenings w a drink. Will definately. be returning. The only tiny tiny nigglesuggestion was the settee was a little small but then we are both 6ft plusmaybe two chairs wd be better

This property is in a lovely, quiet location 112 miles outside Bridlington, it is readily accessible to all the local amenities and the east Yorkshire coast. Nothing is to much trouble for the owner she goes above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable as possible.the property is clean,tidy and ideal for 2 people.the garden is a bonus with it's own bird hide.

Really enjoyed our stay at Cupid's Cottage! ! The owner, Sarah, is a super host! Really helpful and knowledgeable about the area and is around during your stay without being intrusive. She even got my wife flowers and chocolates! Never had that anywhere before! The cottage is about the right size for two people and your furry friend. We found everything worked fine and there was enough cutlery and glasses etc. We like walking and found the walk across the field towards the gorgeous south beach easy enough, might be a bit muddy with bad weather but we were very lucky and had fantastic weather. If you are less mobile then you would need to use your car. There is an electric car charger for each cottage five in total i think which are free to use, no app required, super easy and very appreciated! The rear garden paddock is pretty secure but we kept our dog on a lead just in case, we met some of the neighbours all helpful nice people, beautiful surroundings, did notice an awful lot of greenfly flying about but no big issue really. All in all highly recommended, thanks for a lovely holiday from Keith, Linda and Woody.

We're a 50 couple with a rescue dog. All 3 of us loved it here, so comfortable and relaxing, in a semi rural location. We slept so well, not something we're used to anywhere else, even at home. The property was just right for us and our dog. She loved being off lead in the small meadowpaddock. It is a mile or 2 to larger shops and the beach etc. Far enough away but close by if you need it. Nice walks nearby. We could totally kick back and enjoy our stay. The owner Sarah has thought of everything, she's so lovely and welcoming. There's a small room full of most things you'd want, if not all. From a washing machine, vacuum cleaners, bits and bobs, to local info, spare drinking glasses, jigsaws, dvds, books and games. Plus spare dog bowls, balls etc, alladins cave! We will definitely be back soon. A good base for beaches, and other attractions. It's close enough to be far away from the hustle and bustle of life. Well done to Sarah, you've nailed it.

Greeted by Sarah on arrival, who showed us around the enclosed garden, which was perfect for our dog. Sarah then presented us with a choice of biscuits, plus milk in the fridge. Cottage was cosy and warm. Lovely quiet location and not far from supermarkets and to explore the lovely area, especially Flamborough Head.

Lovely clean Cosy cottage. Sarah the host is wonderful,she gave us so many tips on good places to eat that are dog friendly . She could not do enough to help us especially with disabled appliances. There is everything that you need at the cottage and the garden is lovely,big and enclosed. Loved the fact it has an electric charging point for my car. It is in a beautiful little village,just a few miles away from the sea and not far from the Yorkshire moors . Highly recommend a stay here.

Having just come back from a week at 'Cupids Cottage' in Bessingby, near Bridlington, on the Yorkshire coast. It was easy to find, and each Cottage had its own allocated parking space. The Cottage was very clean and tidy. Because it was going to be quite late when I got there, the owner, Sarah, told me where she would leave the key. Sarah was amazing. Nothing was too much for her. She would show up everyday after work, to deal with whatever needed to be dealt with, and always a smile on her face. I am definitely going to be rebooting this again.

Location of cottage is lovely. Convenient for coast and walking. We had trips to Danes Dyke, Bempton RSPB, Sewerby Hall and gardens, Burton Agnes Hall and gardens and Bridlington. Cottage is small, not much cupboard space for storing food. Could do with a seat that fits the toilet!
We really enjoyed our stay at Cupid's Cottage. The location was perfect nice and quiet yet so convenient for the coast. We were made to feel very welcome and the cottage was well equipped with everything we needed. Just the right size for two of us and our beagle. Thank you.

Where do I start. ..Cupids Cottage was absolutely perfect. Dog friendly ..our dog Albi had a great time.We cudnt hav asked for anything better. Sarah was the perfect host..a truly lovely lady. Absolutely loved staying at Cupids cottage. Just the right size for two and our dog. Sarah the owner goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. She is around most evenings watering the many potted plants so if you have any questions she is the font of all knowledge. The icing on the cake was the free EV chargers on site. There are not many public chargers in the area and no super chargers. Did I mention the welcoming pack of Jaffa cakes.

Cupids Cottage is a lovely little cottage situated within the quiet and pleasant Bessingby Mews. It is very well appointed, clean and tidy, with off road parking within the courtyard of the Mews, which also provide access to a very large, secluded garden which has gated access. The owner lives nearby and is extremely helpful and always happy to answer questions etc. Cupids Cottage is very handy for all attractions in and around Bridlington and walking routes lead directly from the front door to coast and countryside. Would thoroughly recommend and will definitely be back!

We had a lovely few days at Cupids Cottage just before Christmas. Sarah was a very friendly and helpful owner. The cottage was beautifully decorated for Christmas with trees and bedding. The cottage was well equipped. My little doggie enjoyed his stay. Even though the weather was very windy it was dry so we were able to get out and do lots of walking. Would recommend Burton Constable Gardens, Sewerby Park and Danes Dykes as great places to go for a walk with a dog. Would like to revisit and stay at Cupids Cottage in the future.

We have enjoyed our weekend at Cupids Cottage. It is a nice quiet spot to relax and use as a base to explore the Bridlington Scarborough area as being on the outskirts of Bridlington. It is nice that Cupids Cottage is dog friendly and there is enough room for both you and your dog. This was a lovely cottage and ideal for our 2 night stay with our very excited dog. Great location and lovely host who made sure we had everything we needed.
Wanted somewhers to take our 7 month old puppy on this first holiday and came across this absolute gem of a find ! Beautiful little cottage in a quiet little courtyard away from all the hustle and bustle of daily life Only a short drive long walk into Bridlington itself . Everything you need for a short break away from it all .So clean and quiet ! Sarah our host was absolutely charming ! and we wont hesitate to come back ! 5 stars justs isnt enough !!!

We had an excellent week despite the variable weather. Sarah our host was there when we arrived to show us around which was very helpful. The cottage was in an ideal location as a base for the local attractions and lovely to come back to after a full day out. Thank you Sarah and we certainly would recommend and we would visit again.
We stayed in cupids cottage and the only minor problem is that the curtains did not keep out the light at night so the bedroom was very light at night. The owner is a fantastic lady and cannot do enough for you .we will definitely be rebooking again soon.
