Bobbies' Retreat is a beautifully renovated three-storey terraced cottage at 20 High Street in the Old Town of Bridlington on the East Yorkshire coast. It won the East Riding of Yorkshire Council Chairman's Award in May 2025 for its contribution to the local historic built environment. Original wooden beams, exposed brickwork and wood panelling are throughout. There is no hot tub at this property.

The Old Town sits away from the busier seafront - about a 20-minute walk to the beach. Independent shops, galleries, coffee shops and pubs are right on the doorstep. Both beaches are a short five-minute drive away. A Co-op and Aldi are within easy walking distance.

The cottage sleeps up to five guests across three floors. It features a log-burning stove with fuel and starter pack included. Smart TVs, quality bedding and a welcome gift basket are provided. The attic room is a guest favourite. There is a courtyard garden.

This is a beautifuly presented property,yet still a relaxing home from home. Every thing that you need is there. What a fabulous kitchen diner. We all loved it. The beds were comfortable, the master bedroom is just gorgeous. The bathrooms both stylish and practical. In easy reach of lovely places to eat, drink and shop in the Old Town and a good walk to the beach though plenty of buses if you dont drive. We briefly met the owners who were lovely and had provided lots of useful info and recommendations for us. This property is just perfect

This is our second time staying at Bobbies Retreat we came for a week in December and returned for a week in June The property is spotlessly clean, well furnished and has everything you could want for some time away Set in the old town its about 20mins walk from the front but, is an amazing place to explore the area The property is at across 3 levels with a courtyard garden Id highly recommend it to anyone looking for a renovated, modern, clean place to stay

This terraced home has been renovated to a very high standard. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay feel like home from home. We visited on a very cold weekend and enjoyed our evenings relaxing in front of the log fire. I would highly recommend.

We absolutely loved staying at Bobbies Retreat, the pictures dont do it justice. The location was perfect for us and we really enjoyed wandering around the individual shops of the old town and the short drive to South Beach to walk the dog. Stayed at Bobbies retreat for 4 nights and WOW, this cottage is immaculate. Everything is 1010. The cottage is in a fantastic location, right in the heart of the old town with several pubs and restaurants on the doorstep. Both beaches are a short 5 minute drive, parking is also convenient. The cottage is so well equipped, from the kitchen, to the toiletries, to the smart TV. A special mention to the decor, which is beautiful, and so cosy. Will be my go to accommodation when in the area. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

A very welcoming and comfortable cottage. We had a great time at Bobbies Retreat when we visited Bridlington for a family event. Everything was perfect down to the smallest of details. Also a very central location in the beautiful old town. Parking not a problem and close to lots of pubs and restaurants in the local area, would stay again without any doubt.

Super property with everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The only downside is the parking is away from the property, a quick 3 minute walk. It was not a problem for us though. It's definitely one of the best properties we have ever stayed in. And very handy for Bridlington, Scarborough, Filey and, a bit further, the scenic route to Whitby

The perfect holiday cottage

Loved Bobbies retreat. It was very clean and had everything we required. Its a quaint homely property where we felt very relaxed and comfortable. Especially with the log burner at night. The bee theme was great fun. Excellent supply of toiletries, the bedding and towels were excellent quality. Bobbies retreat in located in old Bridlington which was quiet and quirky. Parking is time limited outside but this was no problem as they was free on street parking nearby.

20 High Street was an ideal choice for our family for a short break during half term. It's a lovely house full of character and situated in the old historic part of Bridlington which was also full of charm. The location was still walkable to the sea front end of the town with the beach, promenade and attractions. The house was an ideal size for our party of 4 plus dog but can sleep 5 and was very well appointed, nicely decorated with good quality furnishings. There were also nice little touches you don't always see in holiday rentals which made the place feel really welcoming. As mentioned in the description there are parking restrictions outside but this wasn't a problem for us as there is plenty of unrestricted parking just a short walk away. It was a great base to explore the rest of the coastline and moors and we could highly recommend Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay.

A perfect stay in a beautiful cottage, we recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful holiday cottage the location was stunning in the old town of Bridlington. The cottage itself was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated and filled with thoughtful touches that made it feel like home. From the comfortable beds to the cosy living room, everything is designed with comfort in mind. The hosts were fantastic ensuring we had everything we needed while respecting our privacy. I highly recommend it and look forward to returning.

The property was beautifully renovated with great attention to detail, it was really well equipped, warm and very clean, lots of thought had been given to guest comfort and we could not fault anything. The cottage is in a great location in the Old Town with lots of pubs and coffee shops on the High Street, there is also a Co Op and Aldi a short walk away. We also appreciated the owners sending text messages to check all was ok and offering help etc for the local area. We would recommend this property.
