About Belvedere House

Belvedere House is a superior semi-detached house in Bridlington on Yorkshire's east coast. Part of the Yorkshire Coastal Cottages collection, it sits in a quiet residential area just 50 - 100 yards from the golden beach. Sea views from both king-size bedrooms and a rear garden overlooking a golf course make this a genuinely well-positioned property for six guests.

Bridlington has two award-winning sandy beaches stretching either side of its historic harbour. The Spa Theatre is a 15-minute level walk away. Shops and a Tesco are very close by. The coast path leads to Fraisthorpe and the Cowshed tearoom. Sewerby Hall and Flamborough Head are both within easy reach.

Three bedrooms sleep six: two king-size rooms (both with sea views) and a twin room with golf-course views at the front. There's a large drawing room with a gas wood-burning-style stove plus an open-plan kitchen-diner and a conservatory overlooking the enclosed rear garden.

Sewerby Hall is 1.5 miles away. Flamborough Head is 4 miles. Bempton Cliffs RSPB reserve is 5 miles. Filey is 10 miles south. Excellent walking distance to the beach and town centre.

Belvedere House Reviews

The accomodation was fine appart from the ensuite does not include a toilet. The problem that we had was caused by not by the property, nor the owner but by SYKES. 1 it was found upon arrival that one sink plug was bstuck shut, why was this not reported by Sykes cleaners to be addressed. 2 Having repoprted the problem to Sykes, and been promised that it would be attended to either that evening or the following day. Nothing happened. So I asked what why was the problem not fixed. The reply I got was that their system showed a response of too far. SYKES DID NOTHING. Not until I approached the owner directly did the problem get addressed, thank you to the owner, but I wonder if his comission to Sykes is a waste??? Given our experience with Sykes I think in future other providers will be sort. In summary a total lack of care, you let both us and the owner down badly.
On arrival we were pleased how spacious the house was but it felt grubby,probably the floor, which came up when it was vacuumed, the vac smelt terrable too. There was a large used plaster on the floor in the lounge, dirty finger marks on doors and the kitchen table, dirty draws and the fridge with a broken door milk holder. Bedding was marked. We spent 2 hours cleaning. There was also no spare toilet rolls or washing powder. We also bought a kettle as the one there needed replacing. We only had one phone number to ring an agency who I rung, they said the owner would ring me back , this never happened. So we were disappointed. The bedroom would benifit from curtains as well as blinds as they are small and let light in and dont really work when you want the window open on a warm night. The beds were very comfortable but the pillows need protectors. The position of the house was fantastic, the garden and parking were great and the games and beach equipment were so appreciated thanks. The house just needs a bit more tlc.

Lovely spacious spotless accommodation, the only problems the hot tap in the ensuite wouldnt turn, also the flush in downstairs toilet was extremely slow to empty.
The location of Belvedere House is excellent. It is a couple of minutes walk to the seafront and beach, which is accessed by steps or a slope. It is a level fifteen minute walk to Bridlington Spa and restaurants. The house is very well equipped. The property summary implies that there are 3 WC's where in fact there are only 2. It also states that the ensuite shower room has a WC this is incorrect, there is no WC in the ensuite shower room. The WiFi was intermittent towards the end of each of our 2 weeks there. Had we reached limit on usage? We are a mature couple who do not use internet for gaming.

We had a great stay in Belvedere House last weekend. It is a large well equipped house with everything you could want from a holiday stay. The bedding and towels were of high quality and the beds were comfortable. The milk and biscuits were appreciated. There was one issue that we had and that was the showers in both the main bathroom and the ensuite. The only way anyone could have a shower that didnt go ice cold, red hot and almost stop, was by ensuring that no member of our group ran a tap or flushed the toilet whilst someone was in a shower.
We had a great stay at Belvedere House. The place was very clean and comfortably furnished, the kitchen was well stocked with everything you could need if cooking meals and the bed in the main bedroom very comfortable, with lovely fluffy towels. Plenty of parking and a large enclosed garden were a bonus too. The only negative was the very late arrival time of 5pm, rather than 4pm at most other properties we have stayed at. The area was very quiet and the house had sea views from the bedrooms. It was an easy 30 min walk along the sea front to the town and good coffee at the Leisure Centre. We recommend the coast path walk to Fraisthorpe and the Cowshed tearoom there. Similarly, Bridlington old town is worth a visit as is the Bayle Museum and Georgian Tearooms close by. We would definitely recommend Belvedere House to friends.
This is our third time staying at Belverdere. It's a lovely property, comfortable, spacious and brilliant with two small children. The location is fantastic and we had lots of sunny beach days which was great. We have already booked to return again next summer.
Lovely comfortable and spacious property. Perfect location for the beach and easy walking distance into town. Unfortunately wi fi signal was very weak and we struggled to get a constant water temperature from both showers. That being said we would definitely recommend Belvedere House. We loved our stay at Belvedere House. The location was fantastic so close to the beach and everything else. The house itself was just lovely. It had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, everything was spotless. We are definitely going to come back and stay again in the future.
This was our second time at Belvedere. The location is excellent, the house is very well equipped however it had a few little maintenance issues we did leave a note for the housekeeping staff regarding these. It would have been nice if the heating was on when we arrived. The house could benefit from a little TLC but we would stay again.
What an amazingly situated property. A five minute walk to the beach and 15 minutes to the harbour. The house was clean and spacious with very comfy beds, views of the sea from the two front bedrooms and a large back garden that our boys loved. There were even sun loungers. We had an amazing holiday as there is so much to do with children in Bridlington. Our only negative comment is that the bins were full to the brim and are not being put out by guests. The owners need to find a better solution.

Kettle could do with a descale. A worktop soft water softener would be useful to prevent this happening. Some hooks on the back of the bathroom door would also be useful.

Excellent spacious house. Room for everyone to enjoy. Lovely garden and view over golf course.It was a two minute walk to beach. Bus stop near if you could t face twenty minute walk to townharbour. All well furnished and comfortable with good quality linens. Good off street parking for two cars.Everywhere was very clean and tidy and had everything anyone could want. The only suggestion would be a grab rail in the bath to help get in and out.Thank you for a lovely stay.
Very clean, spacious, well equipped, excellent location. Very impressed that the issue with tv was dealt with promptly. The only little downsides were, lack of a small sharp knife, the en suite shower wasnt very powerful and a little too much conditioner in the gorgeous fluffy towels. Overall, we were very happy with the property and are looking to book again next year.

The house was perfect for us. It was spacious enough for us all and all the bits that come with a family of 5 beach holiday and we never felt ontop of each other. We had the most incredible weather the week we went so we made the most of its close location to the beach and spent everyday walking there and having a great time. The house had everything we needed as a family and the beds were nice and comfy. Hoping to come back to this great house in a perfect location.

What a great place to stay, I would definitely return in the future, The house is brilliant, so much room you can find your own space, The garden is also great, on a nice day you can relax outside and watch the sun come down in the evening, I took my elderly mother & auntie away for their first holiday in 3 years, They wanted to be close to the sea easily accessible which this is, You walk around the corner to a slope or steps to get down to the beach, They loved the short walk across the front to the cafe at the end. Having a third bedroom opens up taking more people next time.

This is the third time weve stayed at Belvedere House. The location of the property is fantastic with the beach on the doorstep. One of our previous comments was the lack of crockery and this has been remedied to a point but a few more glasses are needed. We came across a couple of mugs and a glass that were chippedcracked which I left out with a note for the Housekeeper. Comfortwise the house is lovely and gets lots of sun. Thank you for another great stay.

Fabulous holiday home! !. A little disappointed with the standard of cleaning given we had been informed extra cleaning would be completed prior to arrival. COVID Dusty rooms and Mouldy washing machine I did clean this so I was able to use it Also, cleaners arrived 915am Fri 28th. We felt obliged to allow them into the house as they were stood on the drive in the rain. Over the next 45 minutes we then felt rushed and under pressure to gather our things not the ending we had in mind to our lovely stay!!
